Grief and loss: support for carrying what can't be fixed
Grief isn't something to get over. It is a measure of how much someone or something mattered to you. You don't have to rush it or explain it to anyone. You deserve a gentle place to set it down for a while, and support as you learn to carry it differently.

Does this feel familiar?
- Everyone else seems to have moved on, and you are still standing in the same place.
- You hold it together in front of the children, then cry in the car.
- A song, a smell or a date catches you off guard and the pain feels new again.
- You feel guilty on the days you laugh, and lost on the days you can't.
Gentle ways to carry grief, starting today
- Let it come in waves. Grief rarely moves in a straight line. It rises and falls, sometimes without warning. When a wave comes, let it come. Sit down, breathe, let the tears fall if they need to. Waves pass, even the big ones.
- Keep one small way of remembering them. Cook a dish they loved, or sit for a few minutes with a photograph. A small, regular way of remembering gives your love somewhere to go, so it doesn’t have to wait for the hard days.
- Look after your body first. Grief is tiring in ways that are hard to explain. Drink water. Eat something simple, even when you aren’t hungry. Rest when you can, and keep a gentle rhythm to your sleep. These small things are a quiet way of caring for yourself.
- Let people help with one practical thing. When someone asks, “What can I do?”, give them a real answer. A meal, a school run, an errand. Saying yes lets them show they care in a way that actually helps.
- Write a letter you don’t send. Write to the person you lost, or about what you have lost. Say what you didn’t get to say. Say thank you, or sorry, or I miss you. Then keep it, or put it away. The words have somewhere to rest.
Why it can feel stuck even when time has passed
People say time heals. Sometimes time simply passes, and the grief stays exactly where it was. You may have stopped talking about it because others expect you to be “over it”. You may have tucked it away so you can keep going for everyone else.
Grief that never gets a safe place to land doesn’t simply disappear. You may feel it in your body as tiredness, tightness or a heaviness you can’t name. That isn’t a sign you are grieving wrongly. It is a sign that part of you is still waiting to be heard. If your grief ever feels too heavy to carry, please speak to your doctor as well.
How I can help
If you have been searching for a grief coach, you may be wondering what support actually looks like. With me, it starts with being heard. I don’t try to fix your grief or hurry you through it. Loss is not a problem to be solved. My work is about helping you find your footing again while still honouring what you have lost.
Coaching gives you a safe space to talk, at your own pace. BodyTalk works gently with what your body is still holding. Timeline Therapy can help you let go of heavy feelings like guilt or regret without having to relive every painful detail. At the Durban clinic, frequency healing with tuning forks offers a calm, quiet session that can be focused on loss and grief.
I often say there is always a beautiful gem hidden in even the hardest things. You don’t have to look for it yet. When you are ready, start with a free, private discovery call, and simply be heard.

Questions women often ask
What does a grief coach do?
A grief coach offers a safe, unhurried space to talk about your loss and how it is affecting your life now. With me, grief coaching sits alongside gentle approaches like BodyTalk, so support reaches what your body is carrying as well as your thoughts.
Is there a right way to grieve?
No. Grief has no correct order and no deadline. Some days you may feel almost like yourself, and other days it may feel raw again. Both are normal. What matters is that you are not carrying it entirely alone.
How soon after a loss can I come?
Whenever you feel ready. There is no rule. You can reach out in the first weeks or years later. I listen first and guide each session at a pace that feels safe for you, so you never have to share more than you want to.
Can sessions be online?
Yes. BodyTalk, Timeline Therapy and coaching all work by video call, and I work with women in the UK, UAE, US and across South Africa this way. Frequency healing with tuning forks happens in person at the Durban clinic.
